1908 No Motto Double Eagle, MS67
    Rare CAC-Approved Example

1908 $20 No Motto MS67 PCGS. CAC. The Wells Fargo Hoard discovery made the 1908 No Motto Saint-Gaudens twenty -- and the entire No Motto type -- plentiful in high grade. Yet, surprisingly few Superb Gem examples of this issue are CAC endorsed. PCGS and NGC combined list more than 1,200 1908 No Motto Saints in MS67, but just 26 of those pieces carry CAC endorsement. These elite few CAC coins represent an important acquisition for quality-conscious collectors. This piece is well struck and vibrantly lustrous, showing exceptional surfaces. Rich orange-gold color has tendencies toward peach and yellow, with delicate lilac accents. CAC: 26 in 67, 0 finer (7/20).(Registry values: N4719)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26F6, PCGS# 9142)

The marketing was exceptional from the photos to the ads in Civil War Times and North South Trader for the cross over people!!! I have had many emails from my Civil War collecting fraternity that saw these and I saw them at the national show in Nashville/Franklin in early December.
