Description
1908 No Motto Twenty, MS66+
Ex: Wells Fargo Hoard
1908 $20 No Motto, Wells Fargo Nevada, MS66+ PCGS. Ex: Wells
Fargo Nevada. Short Rays Obverse. California dealer Ron Gillio
discovered and marketed a fabulous hoard of nearly 20,000 1908 No
Motto double eagles in the 1990s. Originally part of an
international shipment, the coins were later stored in their
original bags at a Wells Fargo branch in Nevada. This is a splendid
orange-gold Plus-graded Premium Gem example from that famous hoard,
with frosty, nearly unmarked surfaces and exceptional eye appeal.
The strike is sharp throughout.(Registry values: P1)From The VRM Collection.
