The mint luster is undisturbed and displays a satiny sheen across the splendidly preserved surfaces. A member of an amazing high-quality hoard of 1908 No Motto double eagles that was marketed in the late 1990s under the Wells Fargo moniker. Important as No Motto type coins, these Gem to Superb Gem pieces have been absorbed by the coin market, and like the Carson City GSA dollars, have risen in value in recent years since they are no longer obtainable in quantity.(Registry values: P1)
