Description
1908-D Saint-Gaudens Twenty, MS65+
Rarely Seen Plus Designation
1908-D $20 Motto MS65+ PCGS. The fields are exceptionally
clean on this spectacular and high-end MS65 example, yielding
luminous orange-gold mint luster and a vibrant cartwheel effect.
Minor handling marks on the high points of Liberty's legs appear to
be all that deny an even finer grade, though PCGS still awards the
coin a Plus designation -- some few other examples boast. The
strike is bold, and eye appeal exceeds expectations for the grade.
PCGS has certified only 20 Gems as worthy of a Plus designation,
with merely 42 numerically finer pieces (12/25).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26F9, PCGS# 9148, Greysheet# 10160)
Weight: 33.44 grams
Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
