Description

Gem 1908-D Saint-Gaudens Twenty
Sharply Struck, Motto Design

1908-D $20 Motto MS65 PCGS. The 1908-D Saint-Gaudens double eagle with Motto is an available issue in lower Mint State grades because of its presence in a Central American hoard that surfaced in 1983. The issue becomes scarce at the Gem level, and PCGS has certified only 28 coins in higher numeric grades (8/10). The present coin is an impressive Gem, with an exemplary strike and immaculate greenish-gold surfaces. Visual appeal is outstanding.(Registry values: N2998)
