Description

Elusive 1908-S Twenty, AU50

1908-S $20 AU50 NGC. This issue boasts a tantalizingly low original mintage of 22,000 coins. The present example is lightly rubbed over the high points, yet possessed of generally bold definition for a circulated second-year Saint. Reddish-orange overtones decorate otherwise olive-gold features. Some blushes of original luster appear in protected areas, as well as a smattering of light-to-moderate abrasions from a short stint in the avenues of commerce.(Registry values: N1793)
