Elusive 1908-S Twenty, AU58
1908-S $20 AU58 NGC. An important rarity in the Saint-Gaudens series with a mintage of only 22,000 coins. Only the 1907 High Relief had a lower mintage. While Mint State examples are available from time to time, circulated grades are more plentiful. This pleasing near-Mint piece has satiny light yellow luster, high point wear, and relatively mark-free surfaces, providing an excellent combination of quality and price.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26FA, PCGS# 9149, GSID# 10161)
