Description

MS62 1909/8 Overdate Twenty
Well-Known, Sought-After Issue

1909/8 $20 MS62 NGC. The overdate feature was discovered by Edgar Adams just one year after striking. The lower left portion of the 8 is virtually indistinguishable from the 9, making this a prominent overdate on a gold coin in a highly collectible series--all of which explain the popularity of these pieces. The surfaces on this coin are bright and satiny, the striking details are above average, and there are only small abrasions scattered over each side that explain the grade.(Registry values: N1793)
