Description

1909/8 Twenty Dollar, MS62
Surprising Bright Fields

1909/8 $20 MS62 PCGS. FS-301. A popular overdate in the beloved Saint-Gaudens series, although it appears that as many as half of the survivors of the 1909 Philadelphia mintage may be overdates. This MS62 piece has excellent luster emanating from the orange-gold surfaces, which show a modicum of small, scattered ticks that preclude an even finer grade. The diagonal die crack through the O of GOD is seen on most examples.(Registry values: N1793)
