Description

Delightful 1909/8 Double Eagle, MS62

1909/8 $20 MS62 PCGS. FS-301. The mintage of the 1909 appears to have been evenly divided between regular date and overdate issues. In Mint State, however, the 9 over 8 is slightly scarcer and commands a premium. A touch of olive-green accents the mostly yellow-gold surfaces of the present coin. Light abrasions limit the grade, but they do not affect the flashy luster. There is just a trace of softness on the usual areas.(Registry values: N1793)
