Description

1909-D Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle, MS61
Early Series Better Date

1909-D $20 MS61 NGC. With its tiny mintage of 52,500 pieces, the 1909-D is a better date in the early Saint-Gaudens double eagle series. The present coin is well struck, with light yellow-gold surfaces and above-average mint luster. The usual number of minor abrasions are evident on both sides, but none merit individual mention.(Registry values: N1793)
