Description

1909-D Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle, MS61
Popular Low-Mintage Date

1909-D $20 MS61 PCGS. The 1909-D Saint-Gaudens double eagle is popular because of its low mintage of 52,500 pieces, but the date is more available than the low production figure indicates. The present coin is sharply struck, with softly frosted mint luster. The surfaces are an attractive greenish-gold color, and display an average number of minor abrasions for the grade.(Registry values: N1793)
