Description
Scarce, Low Mintage 1909-D Double Eagle, MS64
1909-D $20 MS64 PCGS. This scarce Denver issue comes from a low mintage of 52,500 pieces. Near-Gem, the condition of the present offering, is the finest grade most likely to be encountered. Lustrous surfaces display a subtle mix of yellow-gold, peach, and mint-green and show excellent definition on the design features. A few scattered, inoffensive marks preclude Gem status. From The Ralph P. Muller Collection.(Registry values: N4719)
