Description

Well Defined 1909-S Twenty Dollar, MS65

1909-S $20 MS65 PCGS. The high mintage approaching 2.8 million pieces assures the availability of the 1909-S through the MS64 grade level. The certified population declines significantly in MS65, and finer specimens are highly elusive. This Gem example possesses frosty luster emanating from honey-gold surfaces and a well executed strike imparts strong detail to the devices. A few grade-consistent marks are unimportant. PCGS has seen only six coins finer (8/09).(Registry values: N2998)
