Description

1910-S Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle, MS65
Conditionally Rare Any Finer

1910-S $20 MS65 PCGS. The 1910-S double eagle is scarce in Gem condition and rare any finer. Most of its mintage exceeding 2 million pieces was melted during the 1930s government recall. Honey and yellow-gold patina imbued with traces of rose reside on the lustrous surfaces of this sharply struck MS65 example. Some scattered minute marks prevent an even higher grade. PCGS has graded 15 numerically finer examples (3/26).(Registry values: N4719)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26FH, PCGS# 9156, Greysheet# 10166)
