Description

Bold 1911 Double Eagle, MS64

1911 $20 MS64 PCGS. This near-Gem twenty dollar displays highly attractive peach-gold and yellow-green patination and possesses a mattelike finish with pleasing luster. A well executed strike delivers sharp detail to the design elements, including the panes of the Capitol building, Liberty's branch hand, and the eagle's plumage. A shallow, lengthy graze is visible in the obverse field. The 1911 becomes very scarce any finer.(Registry values: N2998)
