1911-D $20 MS66 NGC. A normal mintmark example of this popular Saint-Gaudens issue, from the last year of the 46-star obverse subtype. Thousands of '11-D twenties have returned from foreign bank holdings over the years, but most are notably abraded due to indifferent shipment and storage. The present high grade example has avoided such indignities, and its apricot-tinged surfaces are lustrous and splendidly preserved.(Registry values: N2998)
