Description

1911-D/D Twenty Dollar, MS66
Prominent Repunched Mintmark

1911-D/D $20 FS-501 MS66 NGC. A dramatic repunched mintmark gives this variety its appeal. The current Premium Gem example displays radiant honey-gold luster with only faint marks. The strike is bold, and overall eye appeal is pleasing for the issue. Attributed FS-501 coins are scarce in MS66 and prohibitively rare any finer. Census (FS-501): 73 in 66 (10 in 66+, 1 in 66 ), 5 finer (2/24).
