1911-D/D $20 FS-501 MS66 NGC. The FS-501 shows a repunched D mintmark. Sharply struck devices on honey-gold surfaces are layered in rich, luminous luster on this Premium Gem piece. The obverse is pristine and the reverse has only a few thin lines on the sun that define the grade. A dazzling cartwheel effect highlights an exceptional visual presentation. The issue becomes scarce in Superb Gem, and while FS-501 has not been extensively attributed, NGC currently shows only five finer pieces within the variety (10/25).
