Description

1911-D MS65 Double Eagle
With Repunched Mintmark

1911-D/D $20 MS65 PCGS. FS-501, formerly FS-1911.5. The mintmark is obviously repunched, with the second impression directly left of the initial punch. Booming luster sweeps the beautifully smooth surfaces. Intricately struck on the face, fingers, and Capitol panes. A small strike-through (as issued) appears beneath the S in TRUST.
