Brilliant Gem 1911-D/D Twenty Dollar
1911-D/D $20 MS65 PCGS. FS-501, formerly FS-1911.5. One of the more interesting and obvious Cherrypickers' repunched mintmark varieties in the Saint-Gaudens series, along with the 1909-S (also FS-501). The mintmark is repunched due west of the first punch. This brilliant orange-gold Gem offers super eye appeal and a relative paucity of contact, with somewhat mattelike surfaces. Population: 45 in 65, 11 finer (12/09).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26FK, Variety PCGS# 145010, Base PCGS# 9158, GSID# 393347)
