Vibrant Choice 1912 Double Eagle
1912 $20 MS64 PCGS. Olive-green margins cede to straw-gold centers. A lustrous and suitably struck example of this popular lower mintage issue, the first with 48 obverse stars instead of 46. Only lightly abraded aside from minor roughness on the obverse rim at 3 o'clock. Just 32 pieces have been certified finer by PCGS (11/07).From The Chicago Collection of Saints.(Registry values: N2998)
