Description
1913-S Twenty, MS63
Popular Issue
1913-S $20 MS63 PCGS. This low-mintage S-mint double eagle
was produced to the tune of only 34,000 coins, the second-lowest
mintage among regular issues in the series behind the 1908-S. (Of
course, some later-series entries, such as the 1927-D, had much
lower net distributions.) The average certified 1913-S grades about
MS62 or MS63 today. This Select example gleams with radiant luster
over orange-gold surfaces. A smattering of small abrasions define
the grades but detracts little from the appeal of this well-struck
piece.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26FR, PCGS# 9163, GSID# 10170)
