Description
Low-Mintage 1913-S Twenty, MS64
1913-S $20 MS64 PCGS. Despite its minuscule original mintage of 34,000 pieces, this issue's early date and sizable percentage of exported coins makes it only moderately difficult to acquire through MS64. The devices of this highly lustrous yellow-gold example have excellent detail, and the piece is kept from a Gem grade by only a few small abrasions on the surfaces. Higher-grade examples are decidedly rare; PCGS reports only 21 pieces finer (3/09).Ex: Dallas Signature (Heritage, 10/2006), lot 3559, which realized $5,750.(Registry values: N4719)
