Description

Splendid, Lustrous 1914 Twenty, MS64

1914 $20 MS64 PCGS. CAC. The 1914 double eagle is not at all a common issue among early Saint-Gaudens twenties, but when found it is apt to be highly attractive, as here. Splendid cartwheel luster emanates from orange-gold surfaces that are somewhat mattelike, even though under a loupe a few minor abrasions on Liberty appear that account for the grade. PCGS has certified only 39 coins finer (8/08).(Registry values: N2998)
