Description

Low Mintage Choice 1914 Double Eagle

1914 $20 MS64 PCGS. The orange-tinged centers are framed by the pastel lime-green borders. The reverse is well preserved, and the obverse field has only faint abrasions. The low mintage of the 1914 (only 95,200 pieces) has long made the issue a favorite of speculators. Although Uncirculated examples are collectible, Gems are undeniably rare.(Registry values: N2998)
