Delightful Gem 1914-D Twenty

1914-D $20 MS65 NGC. After striking double eagles in most of the prior years it had been in operation, the Denver Mint halted production of the denomination after the 1914 issue and did not restart until 1923. This Gem from the former year is well struck with attractive luster. The surfaces are generally yellow-gold with splashes of peach. NGC has graded 32 numerically finer pieces (8/08).(Registry values: N2998)
