Description
Sharply Struck 1914-D Double Eagle, MS66
1914-D $20 MS66 PCGS. The 1914-D is a common date in grades up to and including MS65. The certified population declines precipitously at the Premium Gem level, and MS67 and finer pieces are virtually unobtainable. Occasional splashes of mint-green visit the lustrous peach-gold surfaces of the present MS66 offering and a solid strike manifests itself in sharp detail on the design elements. Some trivial grade-consistent marks do not detract. Population: 56 in 66, 1 finer (2/10).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26FT, PCGS# 9165, GSID# 10171)
Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
