Description

Tied for Finest 1914-D Twenty, MS67

1914-D $20 MS67 NGC. Only three submissions of 1914-D double eagles have ever received the lofty MS67 grade, with none finer. This amazing Superb Gem has exceptional orange-gold luster with brilliant mint frost, along with the typical granular appearing surfaces that are common to all examples of this issue. The surfaces are pristine and the strike is bold. The connoisseur who appreciates the best possible quality will be delighted with this amazing piece. Opportunities such as this rarely come along. Since 1993, we have offered 940 examples of the issue in our auctions, but only one other MS67.(Registry values: N1)
