Pleasing 1915 Double Eagle, Choice Mint State
1915 $20 MS64 PCGS. Garrett and Guth (2006) speak to the outstanding quality of the 1915 double eagles. This piece is no exception, and boasts eye-catching luster beneath light rose and yellow patina. The strike is razor sharp, and there are only a few wispy abrasions on either side. A small milky patch in the field to the left of Liberty is barely worthy of mention. PCGS has certified just 32 pieces finer (8/08).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26FV, PCGS# 9167, GSID# 10142)
