Description

1916-S $20 MS64 PCGS. The 1916-S was a scarce date until a hoard of about 4,000 Mint State examples turned up in South America in the early 1980s. Dazzling luster endows both sides of this near-Gem, each of which possesses pretty yellow-gold patina. A sharply struck piece kept from Gem by a few small marks.
