Lustrous Gem 1916-S Double Eagle

1916-S $20 MS66 NGC. An uncommonly well preserved 1916-S Saint that benefits from a pleasing, satiny sheen and sparingly abraded surfaces. One contact mark is noted in the left obverse field to the left of the torch. Despite a mintage of nearly 800,000 pieces, there are surprisingly few high quality pieces extant of this lesser seen S-mint issue.
