Description
Mellow Orange-Gold Gem 1922 Twenty
Splendid Type Coin
1922 $20 MS65 PCGS. The first of the generally available
P-mint double eagles from the 1920s, although Gem 1922s are still
scarce compared to issues such as the 1924 or 1928. This piece
would make a splendid type coin, with deep, mellow orange-gold
coloration, a near-full strike, and few abrasions anywhere. PCGS
has certified precisely seven examples finer, barring duplicates
(7/10).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26G3, PCGS# 9173, GSID# 10145)
