Elusive at This Grade Level
1922-S $20 MS64 PCGS. The 1922-S double eagle issue is
elusive in MS64 and downright rare in MS65 or finer, where PCGS has
certified only 13 coins (6/10). This near-Gem displays glowing
luster over frosty orange-gold surfaces. A few minor surface ticks
determine the grade, but the strike is bold and the eye appeal is
