Conditionally Rare 1923 Double Eagle, MS65 PCGS
1923 $20 MS65 PCGS. Although the 1923 is considered a common date, it is really only deserving of that status in MS63 or lower condition. This full Gem example reveals pleasing apricot-gold patina over lustrous surfaces. The design elements are sharply impressed throughout, and just a few minute marks are apparent that are consistent with the grade. Population: 60 in 65, 1 finer (10/04).(#9175) (Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26G5, PCGS# 9175, GSID# 10146)
