Description

Uncirculated 1924-D Twenty Dollar

1924-D $20 MS60 ANACS. The mintage of the 1924-D exceeded 3 million pieces, but most of those coins never left Treasury vaults, and were melted during the Roosevelt administration. Approximately 1,000 pieces escaped Federal holdings, but that quantity is fewer than the number of collectors assembling sets of the popular series. This is a bright and flashy example with good luster and the expected number of moderate obverse bagmarks.(Registry values: N1793)
