Description

Elusive 1924-D Double Eagle, MS62

1924-D $20 MS62 PCGS. Despite a mintage in excess of 3,000,000 pieces, the 1924-D is very scarce today, since most examples never left the Treasury and were eventually transformed into Fort Knox gold bricks. The present lustrous and well struck survivor of the Federal gold recall has wispy field marks but no singularly objectionable marks.(Registry values: N2998)
