Description

Scarce 1924-S Double Eagle, MS63

1924-S $20 MS63 PCGS. The mass meltings of the 1930s made the '24-S an important rarity despite its high original mintage. Pleasing satiny luster glistens beneath the yellow-gold patina that envelops this piece. Several grade-defining abrasions do not distract. This well-struck and attractive coin would make an excellent addition to a serious Saint-Gaudens collection.(Registry values: N2998)
