Description

1925 Double Eagle, MS67
Impressive Condition Rarity

1925 $20 MS67 NGC. Although the 1925 Saint-Gaudens twenty dollar gold is common in Uncirculated grades, it becomes rare at the Superb Gem Uncirculated level. Richly toned in yellow gold with rose highlights, this coin has wonderful eye appeal. Vivid luster radiating from the pristine surfaces adds to the charm. The year 1925 of the Philadelphia Mint is known for having full strikes, and this example has a very sharp strike with all design elements being clearly defined on both the obverse and reverse, with the portrait displaying crisp drapery lines while the eagle has excellent feather detail. This exceptional example would make a great type coin for the iconic Saint-Gaudens double eagle design. NGC Census: 40 in 67, with none numerically finer (6/25).(Registry values: N4719)
