Description
1926 Double Eagle, MS66
Gorgeously Toned
Doubled Die Obverse
1926 $20 -- Doubled Die Obverse -- MS66 PCGS. Minor die
doubling is evident on the obverse rays and the designer's
monogram, though this is different than the tripled die obverse
variety listed in the Cherrypickers' reference. Eye-catching
yellow-gold mint bloom engulfs each side, with shades of
coppery-orange, olive, and lime-green color also seen over the
upper-right portion of the obverse. The devices are fully defined,
and the frosty surfaces are devoid of any mentionable abrasions.
