Description
1926 Double Eagle, MS66
Magnificent Eye Appeal
1926 $20 MS66 PCGS. Vibrant orange-gold surfaces on rich,
frosty luster generate flashes of lilac and olive in this lively
and colorful Saint-Gaudens twenty. Sharply struck with razor sharp
details, eye appeal is extraordinary as the lustrous elements
produce a colorful and memorable cartwheel effect. Only a slight
blemish to Liberty's forehead and a well-hidden mark on the eagle's
wing can be seen under a loupe, otherwise this Premium Gem shows no
visible imperfections. This piece is ideal for type collectors,
with PCGS reporting only seven numerically finer examples
(4/25).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26GD, PCGS# 9183, Greysheet# 10149)
