Description

Sharp 1926-S Double Eagle, MS64

1926-S $20 MS64 PCGS. The few 1926-S double eagles that escaped the melting pot have turned up in overseas bank hoards. This near-Gem shows peach-gold surfaces that exude pleasing luster, and that exhibit generally well struck design features. A few grade-limiting marks are scattered about, and a small grease streak occurs on the eagle's thigh.
