Though the 1926-S is more accessible than a number of its later mintmarked brethren, there is little dispute that the date was affected negatively by the mass meltings of the 1930s. This Choice coin's tantalizing sun-yellow luster brings the eye appeal close to the Gem level. Well struck with few significant abrasions. PCGS has graded 32 numerically finer pieces (7/10).
