Description

Seldom-Seen 1927-S Twenty, AU50

1927-S $20 AU50 ANACS. The 1927-S was once considered one of the keys in the Saint-Gaudens series. Since that time a number of pieces have appeared in European gold shipments, and today, while not as rare as it once was, it is still one of the 10 scarcest issues in the series. This piece is sharply struck and overall bright, with good remaining luster. Lightly abraded on each side with just a trace of friction over the high points.(Registry values: N4719)
