Description
1928 $20 MS65 NGC. Despite having far and away the highest mintage of any double eagle, the 1928 is actually not the most common date in the series--likely because most were melted in the 1930s. This butter-yellow specimen has captivating cartwheel luster that glides across the minimally marked surfaces. A sharply struck piece with outstanding eye appeal. From The Victoria Collection.(Registry values: N1793)
