Outstanding 1928 Double Eagle, Premium Gem
1928 $20 MS66 PCGS. CAC. The 1928 boasts the highest mintage of any U.S. gold coin, but the number of survivors drops precipitously in grades finer than the present piece. This razor-sharp Premium Gem has magnificent satiny luster and pleasing rose-yellow patina, with only a few wispy abrasions. An excellent piece for a type collector. PCGS has certified just 64 coins finer (7/08).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26GK, PCGS# 9189, GSID# 10151)
