Description

1912 Double Eagle, MS64
Lustrous, Colorful Example

1912 $20 MS64 PCGS. Bright and frosty with pleasing rose and green-gold color, and a bold strike. A few scattered abrasions, mostly on the obverse, preclude a Gem assessment. As befits the limited original mintage of fewer than 150,000 pieces, the 1912 is conditionally scarce and infrequently offered at the MS64 level of preservation. PCGS has graded 58 numerically finer examples (12/22).
