Large Date, Middle Die State

1837 10C No Stars, Large Date, MS64 CACG. F-101b, R.2 The No Stars, Large Date 1837 dimes are relatively available from the 682,500-piece mintage. This near-Gem example is the Fortin-101b variety displaying an obverse with the right-side die crack through the rock support near Liberty's foot angling upward. The base of 7 is repunched. The reverse is rotated 23° clockwise in relation to the obverse. Russet-gold toning encircles chestnut-gold and light silver-gray toning for excellent eye appeal.
