Pleasing 1838 No Drapery, Large Stars, MS65
1838 10C Large Stars MS65 PCGS. No Drapery. The Large Stars 1838 dime can be distinguished from the Small Stars variety by the fact that the latter, according to Brian Greer (1992): "Always (has) a die crack through the first six stars." This Gem possesses no such crack. Lustrous surfaces display light gold-tan color, are somewhat frosty, and are generally well preserved. Sharply struck throughout. Population: 25 in 65, 14 finer (7/07).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 237U, PCGS# 4568, GSID# 4026)
