Description

1838 Seated Liberty Dime, MS66
Large Stars, No Drapery, One Finer at PCGS

1838 10C No Drapery, Large Stars, F-111a, R.3, MS66 PCGS. CAC. The bisecting die crack from star 7, across the figure of Liberty to the rim below her foot, and the sharply recut star 13 identify Fortin's Obverse 7. The characteristic die crack from the wreath to A in STATES is just barely visible on this specimen. This spectacular Premium Gem is sharply detailed throughout, with well-preserved surfaces and vibrant mint luster on both sides. Housed in an old green label holder. Population: 19 in 66, 1 finer (2/16).
